This Privacy Policy describes how Officio ("Officio", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our AI office manager service, visit our websites, create an account, or communicate with a business that uses Officio.

Officio is operated by Jamal Hussain, Houston, Texas, United States. You can reach us at any time at [email protected]. We answer privacy requests within 30 days.

Who this policy covers

Officio is used in two different ways, and your relationship with us depends on which applies to you.

Information we collect

We do not collect Social Security numbers, government identity documents, health records, precise geolocation, or biometric data, and we ask that you do not send them to us.

How we use information

We do not use customer communications for advertising, and we do not use them to train general-purpose AI models for anyone other than the business whose communications they are.

Mobile information and text messaging

What you receive. If you provide your mobile phone number to Officio or to a business using Officio, you may receive transactional text messages: one-time verification codes, booking confirmations, appointment reminders, technician en-route notices, quotes, and service updates about work you have requested. This is a transactional programme only. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages through it.

How you opt in. You opt in by entering your mobile number and ticking the consent box — which is unchecked by default — on our sign-up page, by giving your number to a business that uses Officio when you request service, or by texting START, YES, or UNSTOP to our number. You may also opt in by saying yes to a spoken request during a call you placed to a business using Officio; that request names Officio as the sender, states that saying yes is your agreement to receive the messages, and tells you that you are accepting our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, giving you the address of both. The same two links are then sent to you in writing, in a welcome message, before any other message. Consent is never a condition of any purchase.

Frequency, cost, and control. Message frequency varies with your activity — typically one to ten messages per service request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message at any time to opt out, or HELP for assistance. Full programme terms are in our SMS Terms of Service.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Information sharing with subcontractors who provide support services, such as message delivery and customer service, is permitted, and those providers may not use the information for their own purposes.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We never sell, rent, lease, or licence mobile numbers or SMS consent records to anyone, for any purpose. Mobile opt-in data is not shared between the businesses that use Officio: consent you give to one business applies only to that business.

We keep a record of your consent and of any opt-out for as long as we are required to, so that a STOP request is permanently honoured.

How we share information

We share information only in the circumstances below. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure your session, and basic analytics to understand how the product is used. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not permit third-party advertising networks to track you on our site. You can block cookies in your browser, though the service will not work without the ones required to sign in.

Data retention

We keep account information for as long as your workspace is open, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Call recordings, transcripts, and message content are kept for as long as the subscribing business needs them to run their business and resolve disputes, and are then deleted or anonymised. SMS consent and opt-out records are kept for as long as is necessary to honour an opt-out and evidence compliance. You may ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.

Security

We protect information with encryption in transit, access controls, credential hashing, and tenant isolation, so that one business's data is never visible to another. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

International transfers

Officio is operated from the United States, and information is processed there and in other countries where our service providers operate. Where personal information is transferred out of the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights and choices

We respond to every request within 30 days, and we never charge for exercising these rights.

Children

Officio is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above always shows the current version, and we communicate material changes through the service before they take effect.
