Looking for the text-message rules? Jump to the SMS Terms of Service.
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Officio, the AI office manager service ("Officio", "we", "us"). Officio is operated by Jamal Hussain, Houston, Texas, United States. By creating an account or using Officio, you agree to these Terms.
Officio provides an AI-powered office assistant that answers phone calls, schedules appointments, sends quotes and invoices, and communicates with customers on behalf of subscribing businesses. Businesses are responsible for the accuracy of their service listings, prices, and for honouring appointments booked through Officio.
You must provide accurate information when creating a workspace and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the service, or create risk for other users.
These SMS Terms apply to the Officio Alerts text-message programme and form part of these Terms.
1. Programme name and operator. The programme is Officio Alerts, operated by Officio (Jamal Hussain), Houston, Texas, United States. Officio is the sole sender of these messages — it holds the number, obtains and stores the consent, and answers for every message. The businesses that use Officio are its customers, not co-senders; where one is named inside a message it is so you know which appointment is meant. Contact [email protected] with any question about the programme.
2. Programme description. This is a transactional messaging programme only. Subscribers receive one-time verification codes, booking confirmations, appointment reminders, technician en-route notices, quotes, and service updates about work they have requested. We do not send marketing, promotional, advertising, or affiliate content through this programme, and we do not send messages about loans, credit, cannabis, firearms, gambling, or any age-gated category.
3. How you opt in. You join the programme in one of three ways:
Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You must be the subscriber of the mobile number you provide, or be authorised to give consent for it, and you must be at least 13 years old. Your consent applies only to the business you gave it to; it is never transferred to another business.
4. Example messages. These are the actual templates used by the programme. Every message begins with Officio, the registered sender, and names the business your appointment is with so you know which booking it is about:

Where a caller asks for a quote by email but cannot spell the address reliably over the phone, the programme also texts a one-time secure link so they can type it themselves. It carries no marketing and exists only to complete the quote the caller asked for:

5. Message frequency. Message frequency varies and depends on your activity — typically 1 to 10 messages per service request. We do not send recurring messages on a schedule of our own.
6. Cost. Message and data rates may apply. Officio does not charge for the messages themselves; your mobile carrier's standard rates apply. Check your plan with your carrier if you are unsure.
7. How to opt out. Reply STOP to any message at any time to cancel, at no cost. We also honour STOPALL, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, and QUIT. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and nothing after that:
You have been unsubscribed from Officio Alerts and will receive no further messages. Reply START to rejoin.
You may rejoin at any time by replying START, YES, or UNSTOP.
8. How to get help. Reply HELP to any message for assistance:
Officio Alerts: transactional messages about your bookings. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Help: [email protected]
You can also email [email protected]. We reply to support requests within one business day.
9. Supported carriers and delivery. The programme is supported on major United States carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, and their affiliated brands and resellers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on effective transmission by your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed.
10. Privacy. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We never sell, rent, or licence mobile numbers or SMS consent records.
11. Changes to the programme. We may change or end the programme at any time. Material changes to these SMS Terms are published here, with the effective date above updated, before they take effect.
Calls handled by Officio may be recorded, transcribed, and summarised to deliver the service to the subscribing business — for example, to log bookings and follow-ups in their dashboard — subject to applicable law. Subscribing businesses are responsible for any call-recording notice their jurisdiction requires.
Paid plans are billed as described at purchase. Pilot and trial periods are free unless stated otherwise. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
You may not use Officio for unlawful purposes, spam or unsolicited marketing messages, harassment, emergency-services calls, or any activity that violates telecommunication regulations, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and CTIA messaging guidelines. Subscribing businesses must have lawful consent for every number they message through Officio, and must not send content relating to loans or credit offers, cannabis, firearms, gambling, or other age-gated or carrier-prohibited categories.
Officio is provided "as is". AI-generated responses may contain errors; subscribing businesses remain responsible for confirming bookings, prices, and commitments. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees paid in the twelve months preceding a claim.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and the courts of Harris County, Texas have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
We may update these Terms; material changes will be communicated through the service. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
